Missed last week, but back on track this week. Here are some good new and old reads that I found interesting.
This past week, unofficial celebrations of Juneteenth (June 19th) were celebrated around the country. I participated by writing a letter to the Attorney General of Kentucky, Daniel Cameron, to take action and bring justice for Breonna Taylor. Want to write, but not sure what to write? Check out Beyoncé’s letter.
One article that really struck me this week was “For Black CEOs in Silicon Valley, Humiliation Is a Part of Doing Business.” While this is much worse for Black founders, POC and women face this as well. It’s no wonder there are so few BIPOC and women founders. I’ve spent the last week trying to identify a female POC founder in NYC in an early-stage start-up to participate in a bootcamp – and have not come up with any (please let me know if you know anyone!).
